Things to do when you can't sleep.

Well for a while now, i've had a seriously annoying problem with insomnia.
4-5 hours is a good night sleep for me.. and I'm only 14 but there is nothing i can do about it.
I;m sure i'm not the only one with this problem, so i thought i might post some of the random things i do when i cant sleep, incase they come in handy in the future.

*Sit-ups- provide excersice and entertainment while you try count how many you can do!
*Learn the lyrics to an incredibly difficult song.
*Try and learn a toungue twister perfectly, so you can impress people with your skills.
*(for girls)Improve your makeup artist skills.
*walk aimlessly.. its sounds stupid.. but its entertaining.
*try read a whole book *the trick is it makes you tired faster*
*Clean, i mean like crazy.. with dissinfectant and all, that way your keeping your place nice and cleanly and your giving yourself somthing to do
*label things.. (it sounds so stupid, but its funny)
*attempt to write a poem/song
*talk to the robots on msn.. they can be so amusing somtimes.

i know there is more.. i'm just too tired to think of them at the moment.
=) hope that way...slightly helpful

Ha!! A forgotten blog and insomnia

Well. Hello there forgotten blog-world
tonight, during my frequent late night internet browsings i came across a blog
and then it hit me.... I had/have a blog!!!

Well where do i begin.
I just arrived home from brisbane after attending the Bonyi International Youth Music festival, which was absolutly spectacular.
About halfway through the trip though, I ended up getting extremely ill and spent two nights in a brisbane hospital... that was not a great highlight of the trip, but somtimes these things are unavoidable.
Anyways, for those of you who don't know, I am a singer i attended the festival as a part
of my schools touring choir. Some of the groups over there were just spectacular,
i made great friends with people from all over the world especially from New Zealands Waimea College, who we were sharing accomodation with I will never forget them, and i will never forget bonyi 2007.

I'm now in year 9
its allll pretty good atm, lifes good, im happy.

Changing

Tonight, i came on my blog. went RIIGHT back to the very first post way back in September 2005 and read all of my post and comments since then. I look back now, and am just amazed by the amount that i have changed over the past few years. Not only physically, but mentally, and as a person to.

i had a look at my old photo's and went EEEEEWWW!! did i really look like that. But i REALLY look NOTHING like that anymore. I'll post you some pics JUST to prove it!!!

End of the year...

FINALLY this year is over, no more school, no more homwork, no more assignments, what bliss.....

I can now officially say, that i survived my first year of highschool, acctually, it wasnt as bad as i had anticipated. at the start of the year, we got so much homework, but then after the first month or two, teachers just kinda gave up on it....

Now year 8 is over, and next year i will be year nine, i cant say im sorry to leave behind year 8, i hated being the youngest, we always got picked on by the older kids. finally, thats over!!

Now its the holidays ALMOST CHRISTMAS YAY.
i love christmas, its one of my favorite times of the year, and not just because of presents.
but beacause its when i get to see all my family, and family friends, and everyone is always happy on christmas, its great!

Poetry contest

OK, i know, i know, i said two weeks and its been like two months but WHATEVER! ok, well here we go..

about a month ago or somthing, i was on a website and at the top of the page it had a poetry competition, just submit your poem and you can win, i thought it wa s abit of a joke, so i submitted a poem, just for fun! then yesterday i get an email saying.

we are delighted to inform you that your poety entry has come down into the finals of our competition. and it has heaps of blah blah blah, and it said that my poem will be submitted in a book!!

re-introduction

hello everyone sorry for the not-posting-for-a-long-time

if u havent read my blog before or forgotten who i am, let me re-introduce myself

My name is Cassie im a 13 year old australian girl and this is my blog

Ever since the war began in iraq, my life has changed so much, and i think, for the better
My brother olive *thats not his real name* is a dedicated blogger and anti-war activist, so my life was greatly affected by the war.
I now realise just how wonderful my life really is, i have a great education, a fantastic home, amazing friends, and great opertunites **i dunno how to spell it** i am greatfull for everything i have now.

ok ok ok ok, now i cant be bothered writing about EVERYTHING thats happened to me latley that will take forever so i will just put a few pin pointers.

*i sang at the burswood theatre
*i was in the production of kiss me kate
*i got braces
*my brothers website was on tv
*i got my nose pierced
*i started up a website
*my dad go engaged to his girlfriend dawn

yeah thats the most exciting things that have happened!

On wednesday this week im going to queensland.
that is a place on the eastern side of Australia it has heaps of great theme parks and stuff, i cant wait, im going with my dad, dawn and her 2 sons harry and jace!, should be fun
